Superintendent's Message

Superintendent's Message

Welcome to Cloverdale Community Schools. Our school corporation is comprised of three schools; Cloverdale High School (9-12), Cloverdale Middle School (5-8), and Cloverdale Elementary School (Pre-K through grade 4). Cloverdale Community Schools is an exceptional school corporation where we are committed to the success of each student. Recently, Cloverdale Community Schools including each school received an “A” rating by the Indiana Department of Education.

At Cloverdale we offer our students a variety of core curriculum and support services that meet the unique educational, social, and emotional needs of our students. Instruction is differentiated in our schools through academic programs such as high ability, special education, Response to Intervention, vocational programs, and Advanced Placement/Dual Credit course opportunities. The faculty and staff work with students and their parents to provide quality educational opportunities in a structured and safe environment.

As superintendent, I am grateful for the commitment that each of our employees demonstrates each day. By working together, we are able to provide our students with the educational opportunities they need to be successful in life. I encourage you to review our website to learn more about the many great opportunities we provide students who attend school at Cloverdale Community Schools.

Our Vision

Success for Everyone

Mission Statement

We are committed to challenging each student to reach his/her full intellectual, creative and physical potential through a fully integrated curriculum.  We encourage students to become life-long learners and problem-solvers through technological tools, global awareness, and other educational resources.  We strive to create a diverse community that fosters respect and social responsibility; enhanced by a strong partnership between home, school, and community.

About Our School

Cloverdale, Indiana is a rural community located approximately forty miles west of Indianapolis, Indiana and thirty-five miles east of Terre Haute, Indiana. State Highway 231 runs through our school district which is also easily accessible from Interstate 70, located just one mile north of the school. Cloverdale Community School Corporation serves the town of Cloverdale and Cloverdale Township in Putnam County, as well as Jackson, Jennings and Taylor Townships in Owen County.

Recent statistics from the Indiana Department of Education indicate that approximately thirty-one percent of the population in our area have less than a high school education and about twenty-six percent of our households with children consist of single family homes. The population in this area is highly transient; only fifty percent of the families in our district had the same residence in 1990 as they did in 1985. Each year we see about twenty percent of our students move in to or out of our school district. Approximately twelve percent of our families are currently at or below the poverty level with a per capita income of $11,544.00. Our ethnicity can be described as mainly Caucasian - middle class, with only about two percent of our student population being minorities.

Cloverdale Community School Corporation has an approximate total enrollment of 1,500 students in grades Pre-K through 12.
