Summer School

Cloverdale Community Schools
2017 Summer School Reading Program

Through the generosity of Duke Energy and the Duke Energy Immersive Summer Reading Grant, Cloverdale Community Schools was able to offer an summer reading program for our students in grades 1-4.

Students were able to focus on improving basic reading and comprehension skills through individualized online reading interventions, small group reading interactions, and individual and one-to-one activities. Reading skills were strengthened and our teachers were able to instill a deeper love of reading and learning into our students.  Students who participated in the summer reading program loved it and actually stated that they did not want it to end!  That statement in itself is a true testimony to the success of the program!

Cloverdale Community Schools truly appreciated the support from Duke Energy in helping to provide this program for our students.
Thank you Duke Energy!

Letter from the Superintendent

Greetings,

Welcome to Cloverdale Community Schools. Our school corporation is comprised of three schools; Cloverdale High School (9-12), Cloverdale Middle School (5-8), and Cloverdale Elementary School (Pre-K through grade 4). Cloverdale Community Schools is an exceptional school corporation where we are committed to the success of each student.

At Cloverdale we offer our students a variety of core curriculum and support services that meet the unique educational, social, and emotional needs of our students. Instruction is differentiated in our schools through academic programs such as high ability, special education, Response to Intervention, vocational programs, and Advanced Placement/Dual Credit course opportunities. The faculty and staff work with students and their parents to provide quality educational opportunities in a structured and safe environment.

As superintendent, I am grateful for the commitment that each of our employees demonstrates each day. By working together, we are able to provide our students with the educational opportunities they need to be successful in life. I encourage you to review our website to learn more about the many great opportunities we provide students who attend school at Cloverdale Community Schools.

Sincerely,

Greg Linton
