Welcome to Cloverdale Community Schools!

Dear CCSC Families,

The events of the past couple of weeks have required everyone to rethink the way we live life under the new mandates of State and Federal leaders. Below I have outlined the most recent mandates from Governor Holcomb as it relates to schools in Indiana.

  • On Thursday, March 19, 2020, Governor Holcomb mandated the statewide closure of all schools in the state of Indiana through May 1, 2020. This mandate follows the recent CDC guidelines to limit gatherings to less than 10 people.
  • All schools have been provided with 20 closure/waiver days to be used in conjunction with eLearning during this time.
  • All Indiana state assessments have been cancelled.
  • The Indiana Department of Education is working to develop a timely and practical solution to address the graduation requirements for this year’s seniors.

As we plan for the remainder of the school year, I want to share the following eLearning schedule with you and your children:

March 30 – April 3       eLearning: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

                                           Waiver Day/Schools Closed: Tuesday, Thursday

April 6 – April 10           eLearning: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

                                           Waiver Day/Schools Closed: Tuesday, Thursday

April 13 – April 17        eLearning: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

                                           Waiver Day/Schools Closed: Tuesday, Thursday

April 20 – April 24        eLearning: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

                                           Waiver Day/Schools Closed: Tuesday, Thursday

April 27 – May 1           eLearning: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

                                           Waiver Day/Schools Closed: Tuesday, Thursday

Please encourage your child to participate in these eLearning days to ensure they stay engaged with their teachers and the learning process. While eLearning can never take the place of in class instruction, it is the best alternative we have under the current mandate. Additional guidance will be shared for families who do not have devices or access to the internet.

The grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches will be available again beginning on Monday, March 30, 2020.  â€‹Parents will be able to pick up meals on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the entire week.

I hope you are able to enjoy a relaxing Spring Break with your family!

Sincerely,

Greg Linton
